Who we are...
Started in 2019 CAPITAL is a group of Augusta residents dedicated to safety for pedestrians and bicyclists. We're building on the good work of the City of Augusta, Maine Department of Transportation, the Maine Bicycle Coalition, and Augusta Age-Friendly Committee.

We collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including:
Augusta Police Department, Augusta City Council, Augusta Public Works, and many citizens. Even some local businesses have
helped promote safety.
Our projects include demonstration safety infrastructure, events, and distributing reflective bracelets.
CAPITAL Members: Kirsten, Kalie, Wayne, Duane, and Darek.
